The Guys

Teddy was born April 7, 2004 and is a sable Shetland Sheepdog. White is almost non-existent on him. Nowhere near the breed standard but he's just right for me. He's neurotic, driven, smart as a whip and loves to learn new things. He's been my "boy" since he was only 6 weeks old and I was only 15, so you could say we've grown up together because when I was 15 I definitely still had a lot of growing up to do! His best friend in the world is Kira and he willingly admits it, no thinking girls have cooties for this 9 year old! (Don't tell him he's neutered!)

Eclipse was born October 24, 2008 and is a goofy Golden Retriever. The vets think his mother was malnourished when she was pregnant with him and his siblings so they're all a bit quirky but the people blessed to have them in their live love them all the more for it. Eclipse's quirks? Hyper-vigilance, anxiety, flea allergies, food allergies, sensitive stomach, kidney problems amongst other more "typical" golden quirks like "dancing", energetic, extremely affectionate. We've been through a lot with the boy in his four years of life but we wouldn't trade having him with us for the world. His best friend? His sister, Eva.

Iverson was born February 5, 2005 to Guide Dogs' Comet and Guide Dogs' Kentucky at Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael, CA. He's an extremely sweet male yellow lab that had us wrapped around his little paw as soon as he arrived to be raised by my twin sister and I as our first puppy. We thought many times that he wouldn't graduate due to relieving issues, stomach issues (four food changes!), chronic ear infections, immaturity, amongst other issues. We battled through it all with him and on February 3, 2007 as a wonderful man's second guide dog. I'm sure they're living the good life and having a blast in sunny Sacramento, CA, because that's just Iverson's way.
